It is expected that the Parts Interpreter would play an effective and helpful role, which calls for independence and adaptability on the job. Will be responsible for overseeing stock counts on an ongoing basis and ensuring that all necessary stock security measures are taken.
Key Responsibilities Include -
- Ensure that the parts store is clean and that all parts are assigned to the appropriate bins and shelving with their original part numbers.
- Consult with the Workshop Manager and select inventory for the following day's required parts.
- Ensure that you are up-to-date on all new products, product changes, enhancements, and adjustments
- Ensure that all changed parts are updated.
- Ensure that purchase orders are generated for all stock orders and are attached to the corresponding invoices.
- Approve all invoices for parts on a daily basis and in a timely fashion.
- As required, communicates with administrative personnel regarding invoice payments and credits.
- Provide the workshop superintendent with anticipated delivery times for parts.
- Collaborate with workshop personnel and provide them with assistance to ensure they have the necessary materials and stock for scheduled and emergency vehicle repairs.
- Utilise the parts links vendor communication systems effectively.
- Always maintains a clean and organised workspace to facilitate the retrieval of parts.
- Interpreting parts from a manual for spare parts.
