A Pest Control Technician is an expert who uses a wide range of methods to rid homes, businesses, and factories of unwanted pests. They locate the source of the pest infestation and decide on a solution that will be most effective in getting rid of the problem.

Pest control technician's duties include conducting thorough inspections of customers' properties, providing advice on treatment alternatives, and eliminating potential pest attractants. Workers in the pest control industry eliminate insects, rodents, ants, and termites from homes and businesses.

In order to assist consumers in getting rid of insects, bugs, or animals, you will need to be able to recognise the specific species. They eliminate pests like flies, mosquitoes, ants, cockroaches, and beetles. Mice, rats, gray squirrels, moles, pigeons, and seagulls are just some of the critters and birds they deal with.

To create and implement IPM strategies, pest control professionals need in-depth knowledge of the biology and identification of several insect species. They should also be familiar with effective pest management techniques.

Although mice and termites are two of the most frequent pests, some exterminators will also remove birds, squirrels, and other wildlife from your house or business.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Visiting residences, businesses, factories, warehouses, and farms to identify and eradicate pests.
  • Utilizing a firearm, trap, poison, or insecticide to eliminate vermin.
  • Using non-poisonous methods to eliminate vermin in food-manufacturing, food-packaging, and food-selling facilities.
  • Finding evidence of parasites, determining the scope of the problem, and deciding how to treat it.
  • Arranging for evacuation if necessary, fumigating the premises, setting traps, and inspecting them.
  • Collecting samples of animal feces, skin casts, living or deceased animals, and spoiled foods for scientific analysis.
  • Proofing areas to prevent pests from returning includes constructing screens, sealing holes, placing fine mesh over air ducts, and installing spikes to prevent pigeons from landing.
  • Keeping records of inspections and remedies performed, as well as providing guidance to prevent future infestations.
  • Keeping abreast of the latest developments in electrical pest control technology
